Dear MJ,

Forced myself to watch one of your last movies last night. Big mistake. I swear, it was like you were right there in front of me.

There are four people responsible for getting me back on the path of my photographic "bliss" after an embarrassingly long break. But you're the principal reason I'm doing something that matters to me again. Your life and death profoundly changed me.

They say the pain goes away. Whoever "they" are--they lie.

I took this shot in 2000 with my trusty, old Canon A-1. The first camera I ever owned. I guess the only thing blurred here, is the feeling that my dear friend is still around.

Will follow up directly with an actual art shot.
