![]() My father's getting married today. I'm numb. Two weeks ago, Dad called with the big news. That same day, one of my ex-whatevers, told me he's getting married. Since then, got hit and run, stuck paying a whopping insurance deductable, bit in the hand by a dog, then most importantly, my favorite toy camera broke! Today, my friend paid the woo-woo, witchcraft lady at Venice Beach to take the hex off my head. So looking forward to a hexless tomorrow. Went to a friend’s to watch Kinsey tonight. I wanted to like the movie, but I couldn’t stop asking my friend, “How come Liam Neeson has an Irish accent, yet his parents sound like they’re from middle America? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?” I tried to take Liam seriously. Really. And don't get me wrong. LOVE a man with a good accent. But the inconsistency annoyed me to no end. Does anyone out there have a viable explanation for this, besides that Liam was nominated for an Oscar, so he can talk anyway he wants? Or did he win an Oscar? I can't recall. But if he did win, then shouldn't he have picked up on the accent thing? Shot this pic in Big Sur last July with my Nikon N80. Wandering around Pfieffer State Park, I saw this boy splashing around in a stream. Made me smile. *Daily Reminder* Don't forget to buy your toycamera.com calendar for that special someone this holiday season! | |
